Terry Bradley was born in Belfast in 1965. Bradley spent his childhood growing up in the well known Shankhill Road where there is a lot of turmoil from the "Troubles" in the 1970's. Terry Bradley's mother tried to keep him inside away from the danger that lurked outside the front door. From this Terry Bradley lost himself in his art, it was a form of escapism, it took him away from the harsh realities of Belfast in the 1970's.
Bradley moved out of the city in the seventies and entered a comprehensive secondary school, Art and English were his favourite subjects. It wasn't until a few years later after Terry had meddled in running a factory with his brothers and opening his own clothes shop called 'Retro', that he made a move to Dublin in 1989, which actually determined his whole art career.
Terry Bradley met John Reynolds - the owner of the famous Pod club in Dublin by chance and their meeting led to his first solo art exhibition. Fortunately, it was a huge success and for the first time Terry began to make money from the only thing that had been with him all his life.
Bradley's work is interesting as it relates to the events throughout his life. Now his work mostly centers on strong women and ex models in Dublin and more recently, Paris.
As well as Bradley's career side of life, his personal life has also grown. He is now married with three children and lives in Ireland.
Terry Bradley now exhibits in Dublin, Belfast, London and Spain and is planning to exhibit in America.
